Objectives

If you are interested in the Master of Risk Management & Regulation, you should have already gained a strong quantitative and analytical background in your first academic degree, or gained one  via in-depth practical experience. The executive Master in Risk Management & Regulation study programme lasts three semesters and takes place predominantly on the campus of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. During your study programme, you will take a total of eleven courses. All courses are conducted in English. All instructional offerings are bundled into blocks of classes so that you can complete your study programme while working at the same time.

Study programme goals:

  • Knowledge of the basic models and processes involved for all risk types and the ability to put them into practice
  • Basic understanding of strategic and integrated risk management in banking, especially for portfolios and business models (economic cycles, etc.)
  • Command of both macro-economic and supervisory perspectives
  • Ability to communicate risk management issues at all levels and in every department
  • Knowledge and assessment of the fundamentals, requirements and limitations of the models
  • Analysis and interpretation of risk, and development of action plans (Risk Analyst)
  • Command of risk management as a bank management control function 

The successful completion of the study programme will qualify individuals to hold responsible and decision-oriented positions within the following areas of risk management:

  • Business Operations
  • Controlling 
  • Governance
  • Supervision
