Do not miss the innovation of the Frankfurt School’s Boot Camp 2016: The Banking Game.
In the first week of your Boot Camp you will participate in a Banking Game. During this class you study how to manage a financial institution by playing a web-based simulation Probanker in a competitive game of student teams. You will have to make choices about lending rates, advertisement campaigns, and funding sources and many other aspects of a real banker’s life to get a firm grasp of risk management in financial institutions.
Scheduled for summer 2016, Frankfurt School’s Boot Camp targets non-finance Bachelor and first-year Master students seeking to develop and / or deepen their financial skills in one of Europe’s leading financial centres: Frankfurt am Main.
When you opt for this course, you’re also choosing to benefit from our immediate proximity to prestigious financial institutions such as the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Deutsche Bundesbank, Germany’s own central bank. The Boot Camp, due to be held on the Frankfurt School campus over two weeks in July 2016, will combine a challenging academic programme with plenty of opportunities to network with and enjoy the company of your fellow students. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities to engage in athletic activity for those who wish to – such as swimming with our Associate Dean!
The purpose of this Boot Camp is to enhance the financial and banking knowledge of Bachelor and first-year Master students who want to know more about major banking and financial topics. The programme provides an introduction to the fields of finance and banking in a European context. If you’d like to learn about the key aspects of finance and banking in just two weeks – this programme is the right one for you. Demanding and intensive, it delivers all the banking essentials.
Taught entirely in English, the Boot Camp attracts highly motivated students from Germany and other countries around the world. Spending a fortnight abroad will give you additional international exposure. And last but not least, you’ll benefit from Frankfurt School’s excellent connections to banks, financial institutions and consulting firms. Participants are expected to be fluent in English.
