What is so different about the Frankfurt School? Perhaps the best way to explain it is with reference to a pyramid. The classical pyramid has a broad base and a slender top. The Frankfurt School pyramid combines the two: the courses at the broad base are top-class, and the subject coverage at the very top level is surprisingly broad.

At the Frankfurt School, a rich and diverse range of Doctoral programmes at top international level are just as much part of the picture as development courses for people in full-time employment, offering career starters and high potential means of greatly improving their professional prospects. Frankfurt School has to its credit a scientifically developed financial barometer that helps countries determine their financial strengths and plan for the future. The financial centre barometer is not a general indicator system of the financial sector, but a reporting system with particular reference to the financial and non-financial "cluster" of the domestic financial center. Hence, it would be very important to be able to reach out to the nucleus of the financial centre, e.g. the stock exchange, regulators, the central bank, local or central government agencies, big banks, insurance companies, and/or investment funds.
