Welcome to the Frankfurt School Summer Academies 2010!

For more than 50 years, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has been a leading Business School in providing professional, academic and executive education to managers and executives of financial institutions. Our Summer Academies offer you plenty of opportunities to learn, to gain new insights and to widen your scope - both from our well-experienced faculty and from networking with other participants.

Within the frames of International Advisory Services, we are proud to present five Summer Academies in 2010. As a tradition for the last ten years we will offer three Micro Banking Summer Academies, namely the Microfinance Principles Summer Academy, the MFI Management Summer Academy and the Commercial Micro Banking Summer Academy.

Also the Housing Finance Summer Academy, which was successfully launched in 2008, will be part of the programme again. For the very first time, we also offer a Sustainable Energy Finance Summer Academy in order to better address the importance of the financial industry in shaping the world’s response to climate change. Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has a unique competence to offer, including: combining banking and microfinance know-how, bringing together consulting and educational expertise with research findings in one single institution. We live our mission to be an integral part of the business and finance community and to advance and disseminate successful and responsible national and international business practices through education, training, research, and advisory services.

We are an established arena for education, research, exchange of experience and debate for the banking and finance industry. Our faculty and experts provide the know-how to support all - from microfinance institutions to commercial banks and investment funds. We are able to support financial institutions in their continuing development through technical assistance projects by our International Advisory Services team. We are able to advice individuals how to improve their professional excellence through our Master of Finance programme with specialisation in Development Finance that is a unique academic programme for professionals in the field. Frankfurt School is also proud of its Chair in Development Finance.

We at Frankfurt School invite you to join our community, our network which reaches far beyond the Summer Academies. In spring, 2010 we will launch the Frankfurt School Friends & Alumni Portal through which you will be able to stay in touch with your fellow students, alumni of past and future Summer Academies, FS faculty and fellow team members. You can contact other FS Friends as well as join and launch online communities on professional topics as well as personal interests. In short, the Frankfurt School Friends & Alumni Portal Friends Website will be the beginning for lifelong friendships. July is a good month for time out of your normal routine, time to gain new perspectives and insights, time to meet colleagues and experts who share your interests, challenges and questions.
