Frankfurt School and the ACI enter into cooperation

Frankfurt am Main, 20.01.2009 - On 18 February 2008 the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (FS) and the Financial Markets Association (ACI) signed an Education Managing Services Agreement.

ACI – The Financial Markets Association represents front, middle and back office staff working in a wide range of financial market areas. It has the largest membership of any of the international associations in the wholesale financial markets with members in over 70 countries of which 63 currently have affiliated national associations. 

The Association contributes to the market development also through education by offering exams and certificates. Based on an Education Managing Services Agreement with ACI, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management assists ACI to maintain the quality of it’s education programmes and examinations and to implement a programme development strategy. The ACI Global Education Centre is located in Frankfurt/Germany at Frankfurt School and will be managed by a Director of Education ACI. 

  • The ACI Dealing Certificate is a foundation programme for new entrants to the dealing room. It covers basic interest rate calculations, cash money markets, foreign exchange, forward-forwards, FRAs, money market futures & swaps, options, principles of risk and the model code.
  • The ACI Diploma builds on the ACI Dealing Certificate and ensures that candidates have a good practical knowledge of the foreign exchange and money markets, of the linkages that exist between the different markets and of the concepts used in managing the risks in these markets. It covers foreign exchange, money markets, fixed income, derivatives, market analysis and risk management. Candidates who have successfully passed the ACI Operations exam can also register for the ACI Diploma.
  • The ACI Operations Certificate is an education programme for treasury operations staff and provides a front to end treasury view. It covers overall financial market issues: deal capture, trade entry and confirmations, settlement, netting and clearing, reconciliations and investigations, treasury systems and data management, risk management, controls, compliance and documentation, foreign exchange, money market, derivatives, short term bonds and notes.
