Giving a speech in Bejing: Ingolf Jungmann....
CBEEX, the China Beijing Environmental Exchange, invited the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management as a strategic partner to take part in its conference on Green Energy Finance in Beijing on June 5 / 6.
Ingolf Jungmann, the Frankfurt School’s Vice President and Managing Director, took part in a panel discussion on sustainability and profitability of banks. Furthermore, he held a workshop on energy efficiency finance. On his way back to Frankfurt he sums up his impressions and insights: "Bejing municipial government members, senior bank managers as well as managers and experts from other industries, UNEP and CBEEX representatives met at the conference. They shared insights on green energy finance and agreed upon further cooperations. It was an honour and a delight to represent Frankfurt School at this high-level event."
Yan Yumin represents the Frankfurt School in China. He is based in Beijing and explains: "The Beijing Municipal Government founded CBEEX, a state-of-the-art trading platform for all kinds of environmental equity. CBEEX is very keen on reducing pollution and developing our capital into a green city. For this purpose, the platform has set a variety of ambitious objectives, such as establishing zero emission regions within Beijing. It is not only a trading platform, but will also provide new ideas and concepts with regard to transforming Beijing into a green city. It is also reassuring that Beijing often serves as a role model for other Chinese cities. I am proud that we were invited to share our know-how".
Since September 2009, Yan Yumin and Ingolf Jungmann have been meeting CBEEX representatives. "Our exchange has been extremely constructive and forward-oriented”, adds Ingolf Jungmann. "We are looking forward to co-operating further".
