International Day at the Frankfurt School
"Travel around the world"
Frankfurt am Main.
On Thursday, 24 May 2012, the student initiative “FS Buddy” and the international exchange students of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management organised an „International Day“. “Come and travel around the world with us“ was the motto for the event, which was held on the Frankfurt School’s campus. All students and staff were invited to celebrate Frankfurt School’s cultural diversity.
Students from eleven nations and four continents presented typical decorations and foods from their home countries. They had decorated their stalls with pictures of the most famous sights and landscapes. Frankfurt School’s staff and students also had the opportunity to take a culinary voyage around the world: They could taste Korean rice crackers, Chinese rice cakes, German Pretzels and Argentinean pastries, Canadian whiskey, French wine, Moroccan dates, Dutch cheese, Spanish ham, Mexican Guacamole, Russian pancakes and many more culinary delights.
The pictures and traditional food of the students’ home countries made everyone dream of holidays. In addition, international music and fantastic weather provided a perfect setting for the event.
The Frankfurt School is looking forward to the next International Day in the coming winter semester!
