Curriculum
Karol Kempa is an economist with focus on climate policy instruments, development/energy finance and international relations. He holds a Diploma degree (Master equivalent) in international economics from the University Giessen (Germany) and a M.A. in economics from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (USA). Prior to his current employment at Frankfurt School’s International Advisory Services, Mr. Kempa has developed research expertise working for KfW’s Competence Centre Energy and the ifo Institute for Economic Research.
Since 2011 Mr. Kempa is Research- and Project Assistant at the UNEP Collaborating Centre, where his research focuses on sustainable energy finance and climate policy instruments. Furthermore, he is involved in several projects by carrying out country- and sustainable energy market reports as well as feasibility studies.
