For our “International Advisory Services” – initially limited for a period of 2 years - we are seeking to recruit a service driven Project Assistant (f/m) at the earliest possible date. The work consists of tendering for and carrying out advisory interventions in small banks and non-bank lenders (microfinance institutions, leasing companies, consumer lenders etc.) in emerging/developing markets. The development finance projects are typically implemented with the support of in-house experts together with subcontracted consultants from the IAS network. 

The tasks include:
  • Support the team in acquisition, preparation and implementation of projects (e.g. accounting, travel planning, communication with consultants etc.)
  • Analytical work, such as writing country or sector backgrounds
  • Processing of incoming and outgoing correspondence, supervision of deadlines, follow-up and checking of feedback to delegated work
  • Support the team in compilation of presentations and project documents
  • Organisation of events (e.g. study tours) in coordination with Project Managers
  • Updating of data bases

Skills and Qualifications:
  • University degree in finance, banking, economics or equivalent
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong capacity for teamwork, but also ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills within and outside the team, commitment, sociability, flexibility, intercultural sensitivity
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing. Excellent skills in at least one other language is considered an asset
  • Working experience in an international project management environment is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office
