Mujaheed Shaikh, Ph.D. candidate in Health Economics at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, has won the Spanish Health Economics Association award for best paper at the 35th Health Economics Conference of the Spanish Health Economics Association in Granada. The paper is titled ‘Pharmaceutical Expenditures and Life Expectancy’ and is a joint work with his supervisor Professor Dr Dr Afschin Gandjour, Professor of Health Management at Frankfurt School. The best paper award is supported by the Chair of Health Economics and Rational Use of Medicines at the University of Malaga.
The Health Economics Conference took place in Granada from June 16 to June 19, 2015. The conference dealt with questions related to health, welfare and social cohesion, and the intended to be a means to share, discuss and disseminate knowledge, based on research and scientific evidence.
