Lisa Cycon, PhD candidate at the Research Center FIRE (Financial Intermediaries and the Real Economy) at Frankfurt School’s Finance Department, has won the IFABS Best PhD Paper Award 2015. The International Finance & Banking Society (IFABS) awarded the prize at the 7. International IFABS Conference, which took place in Hangzhou, China, from June 27 to 29. This year the conference focused on „The Future of Financial Institutions and Markets: Navigating the Challenges Ahead”. Students could apply for the award with theoretical and empirical papers on Banking and Finance.
Lisa Cycon has been a PhD student in the Finance department at Frankfurt School since September 2012. Her research area is empirical banking and focuses on financial intermediation and regulation.
