From April 29 till 30, 2016, seven students of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management participated in the second HEC Business Game that took place on the HEC Campus in Jouy-en-Josas (Paris), and won two challenges. The event organisers welcomed 154 students of 30 different nationalities coming from 46 universities, with FS students forming the largest group from a German university.
Participants had to solve four different challenges presented by Gameloft (online challenge solved in pairs with one week to prepare), Baker & McKenzie (digitalization challenge in teams of six with four hours for preparation), Google (pitch challenge in teams of six with two hours to prepare) and Bouygues Construction (sustainable development & strategy challenge in teams of six with four hours to prepare). Finally, teams had to present their solutions in front of the juries which were composed of the employees of each of the companies.
The team with the FS Master of Finance student Ozren Winkler won the first place in the Baker & McKenzie’s Digitalization Challenge. Boas Bamberger and Ulrich Wiebach, both FS Master in Management students, won the first place in the Gameloft Online Challenge. The Jury, composed of Gameloft employees, found their solution and its implementation strategy very innovative and feasible. Moreover, Boas Bamberger and Ulrich Wiebach won the third place overall in the HEC Business Game. All winners were offered a summer internship in the respective company’s headquarters in Paris.
