On April 28, 2016, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management took part in the national annual Girls’ Day for the fifth time. On this day, girls all over Germany are encouraged to get to know career opportunities and university courses in technical, mathematical and economical subjects.
Silvia Kreibiehl, Head of the FS-UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance, and the UNEP team had prepared a world map on the floor of Frankfurt School’s Audimax. With the help of the UNEP team, the 75 participating girls learned more about climate change and its worldwide consequences. Afterwards, the UNEP team explained how investments in sustainable energy can help fight climate change and how to calculate the return on such investments.
In the afternoon, female students and alumni of Frankfurt School offered insights on studying at a business school and job opportunities in finance and business. The day ended with a last group photo and the handing out of the certificates.
