Claudia Schaffranka is a PhD student at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and a member of the research center Financial Intermediaries and the Real Economy (FIRE). Her research interests include financial intermediation, financial stability and monetary policy. Following her bachelor's degree at the University of Tübingen, Claudia Schaffranka completed her master's degree at New York University. During her studies, she interned at the Hamburg Institute for International Economics and at the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC. For three years she gained professional experience by working at the Boston Consulting Group where she was a member of the Financial Institutions Practice Area and of the BCG's Risk Team. During this time she worked on strategy, risk management and regulatory projects.
