Frankfurt School of Finance & Management’s International Advisory Services has been at the forefront of providing training and consultancy (technical assistance) for the financial sectors and beyond for almost 30 years. We deliver innovative, smart and practical solutions to strengthen global social, economic and environmental sustainability. Among our main clients are IFC, EBRD, EC, KfW, GIZ, World Bank, AfDB and ADB. Since 2019 Frankfurt School is managing the InsuResilience Solutions Fund (ISF) an innovative programme to support and develop climate risk insurance products mitigating the negative impacts of climate related disasters such as droughts, heat and floods. The programme is funded by the German Government, as an important contribution to the G20/V20 initiative of the InsuResilience Global Partnership. For our strongly growing activities within ISF, we are looking for a Project Assistant (f/m/x) with some experience in project management and financial reporting. The position is initially limited to 24 months.

Your tasks
  • You support the preparation of financial reports, prepare grant payments and follow-up on transaction completions.
  • You support the preparation of funds’ utilisation reports, prepare and submit disbursement requests to the donors.
  • Your support the preparation of yearly financial statements for ISF and the audit reports.
  • You assist the implementation of climate risk insurance projects and support the project management of on-going projects (regular exchanges with project experts and grantees, drafting project reports, reviewing and approving contracts, participation in meetings and events).
  • You complete short-term missions to contribute to project success (monitoring and evaluation missions).

Your profile
  • University degree, in Business Administration, Finance or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Sufficient relevant working experience, preferable in project management or other financial advisory services.
  • Interest in working in insurance/finance sector advisory projects in emerging and developing countries.
  • Motivated, dynamic and flexible to work in a multicultural, fast-changing environment.
  • Fluent in Business English; good knowledge of French or another foreign language would be an asset.
  • Commitment to take over responsibility and proactively contribute to business outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, writing and communication skills, including ability to coordinate activities with several (high level) stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
