The overall objective of the FS Centre for Climate & Sustainable Finance is to facilitate public and private financing of sustainable energy and climate change mitigation and adaptation actions across the globe. Our team develops and structures green financial instruments, implements innovative climate finance projects and advises on policy development and changes, and provides trainings.

We often cooperate with donor institutions, such as development banks, on structuring and implementing projects. Furthermore, we are initiating and designing cutting-edge programs on our own. For upcoming project opportunities, we are looking for specialists experienced in crowdinvesting.

We offer an international team and a stimulating environment with close ties to commercial banks and the industry. The FS-Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance is seeking to fill the position of a Crowdinvesting Specialist.

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of respective regulation and requirements as well as anticipated developments;
  • Contribution to and recommendations on design and structure of platform and peer-to-peer financing facilities;
  • Analysis of existing platforms, their respective Unique Selling Propositions and gap analysis;
  • Assessment of business models and valuation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises;
  • Professional correspondence with local, national and international partners;
  • Risk analysis and management;
  • International travel will be required.

Qualifications
  • University degree in finance, banking or economics;
  • Ideally up to 3 years working experience in crowdinvesting and/or –funding as well as with related processes and tools;
  • Understanding of climate mitigation and adaptation projects;
  • Experience with structuring and operating financing facilities and/or funds, incl. investment guidelines and committee;
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to conduct in-depth research; strong writing skills;
  • Strong financing background;
  • Excellent team player, self-driven and willingness to assume responsibility;
  • Independent thinker with pragmatic problem-solving skills; proactive attitude towards assignments/projects;
  • Strong communication skills on all levels of seniority, commitment, sociability, flexibility, intercultural sensitivity;
  • Fluency in English and at least one other language both orally and in writing; Spanish is an advantage.
