During the meeting on November 26, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management Foundation’s Board of Trustees, unanimously appointed Professor Dr Michael Pinedo as a new Member of Frankfurt School’s Advisory Board. Michael Pinedo is Julius Schlesinger Professor of Operations Management at Stern School of Business at New York University.
Michael Pinedo studied Engineering at the University of Delft, followed by a Master in Operations Research at the University of California in Berkeley, where he also received his PhD. He taught in the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Department at Columbia University for many years. Other episodes of his academic career include positions at the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Cientificas (Caracas) and at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also advised Hitachi Zosen in Japan and Philips Laboratories in the USA and acted as Director of the Real Estate Investment Department of Prudential Insurance Company in Newark, USA.
