On November 29, 2016, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (FS) opened its new office in Mumbai, India. The new FS India Office is situated on the premises of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) and was inaugurated by Professor Dr Steffens, President of Frankfurt School, and Bernhard Steinrücke, Director General of IGCC.
Frankfurt School and IGCC celebrated the new office with guests, colleagues, and friends – incorporating some traditional Indian customs like the lighting of a lamp. This represents awakening the Atmajyoti (Glow of the soul) within oneself. As a decoration, the FS logo was made into ‘Rangoli’, a traditional art form using colorful sand. Sand paintings are thought to bring good luck. The event marked the official kick-off for the new team based at IGCC in Mumbai, who will represent Frankfurt School in India and take care of student recruitment activities.
