FS-UNEP Centre and Bloomberg New Energy Finance present UNEP Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investment Report 2016
On March 24, 2016, Professor Dr Ulf Moslener, Professor for Sustainable Energy Finance at Frankfurt School and Research Director of the Frankfurt School - UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance, and Martin Cremer, Deputy Head of the FS-UNEP Centre, introduced the new Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investment Report 2016 at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. It is the tenth report published.
The report shows that a new world record total of $286 billion was invested in renewables in 2015. Coal and gas-fired generation attracted less than half as much capacity investment as renewables last year. Just as significantly, for the first time, the developing world investments in renewables topped those of the developed nations.
