Donors who support the Frankfurt School with at least 1,000 Euro within an Academic Year constitute the Frankfurt School Donors‘ Circle. Yesterday, Frankfurt School hosted a summer reception for the members of the Donors‘ Circle 2015/16. It took place on the terrace next to the President’s Office on the 5th floor.
Professor Dr Udo Steffens, President of Frankfurt School, welcomed representatives of companies and foundations, members of Frankfurt School’s Board of Trustees and Advisory Board, alumni, students’ parents, as well as philanthropists who give for FS. He thanked them all for their generosity. “We are proud and extremely grateful that you support Frankfurt School”, said President Steffens. He outlined the causes the donors support in great detail.
The systematic support for the library, arranging Deutschlandstipendien, endowing chairs, supporting research centres or the new campus – Frankfurt School highly appreciated the donations and the inspiring dialogue with friends and donors, said President Steffens. He asked the guests to continue to give for Frankfurt School. “We have ambitious goals. Until 2020 we want to be one of the top five business schools in Europe”, he explained. “I cordially invite you to be a partner on this path”.
The guests enjoyed the evening with almost tropical temperatures and a gorgeous view over Frankfurt and its skyline. Professors and PhD students from the ProcessLab, which is supported by Concardis and Commerzbank, and from the research centre FIRE (Financial Intermediaries and the Real Economy), solely financed by Commerzbank, outlined current research projects while talking to companies’ representatives. Members of the student initiative FS Events tended the bar and used the occasion to explain what it means to study at Frankfurt School.
Frankfurt School honors all donors who support the Frankfurt School with at least 1,000 Euro within an Academic Year or who have committed themselves to donate. The cause of the donation is not relevant to become a member of the Donors' Circle. The Academic Year begins September 1 and ends August 31 the following year. The Donors’ Circle is re-established for each Academic Year and the members are valued on the Frankfurt School website.
