Frankfurt am Main, 30.05.2017 12:00:00

On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, alumnae and female students of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management gathered for the first event of the Ladies First series in 2017 at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Anna Schweisfurth, Alumni Officer at Frankfurt School, and Karin Reuschenbach-Coutinho, Head of Frankfurt School’s Career Services, organised the evening and introduced the guest speaker and welcomed the audience.

Katharina Gehra, Partner at Interritus Group, was the guest speaker of the evening. Katharina Gehra is a Partner at Interritus Group, which is a principal investor in European banking. Her current role includes serving on the supervisory board of Kommunalkredit Austria AG which is held to 55 percent by Interritus. In 2015 and 2016 she was named one of the “Top 40 under 40” in management by the German business magazine “Capital”.

Her presentation focused on the question how to live up to one’s own full potential without being afraid of what could go wrong and instead focusing on how to get it done right. She shared some of her own experiences to show how the attitude determines what is achievable. In a lively discussion, Katharina Gehra explained how students and alumnae can translate that into their own lives.

After the presentation and a Q&A the attendees were invited to a special Wine Tasting with Tudanca Wines, a small, family-owned boutique winery from the Ribera de Duero region in central Spain, that they were introduced to by Ruben Lopez, EMBA Class of 2017. Besides learning a little bit about the secrets of producing good wine, the tasting allowed the attendees to find out insides about the history of Tudanca following the vision of a strong woman, Vicenta de las Heras and the new women generation taking care of the family business.
