On Tuesday, July 4, 2017, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management held an FS Alumni & Friends event in Shanghai. Alumni who currently live and work in China, students of the part-time MBA as well as friends of Frankfurt School gathered at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai. Also, management students who had participated in the FS Executive Week in Shanghai and prospective FS students from China, attended the activity. Professor Dr Horst Löchel, Professor of Economics and MBA Programme Director at Frankfurt School, hosted the gathering.
After the official welcome, Ivo Naumann, Partner at Mckinsey & Company in Shanghai, held a keynote on “The six forces that are transforming China and the world”. The following get-together with food and drinks gave the participants the opportunity to network and strengthen the FS community.
Sebastian May, who graduated in Business Administration at Frankfurt School in 2012, now Department Head Market Entry at German Industry & Commerce Greater China, joined the event despite living and working in Guangzhou to catch up with the FS family: “I enjoyed a really great event! The key note speech gave special insights into Chinese economics and highlighted some new aspects – very useful even for those whose daily business is dealing with Chinese economics. Also, it was a great possibility to meet up with FS alumni and friends”.
