On Monday, June 12, 2017, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management held its first CFA Information Session, in conjunction with the CFA Society Germany. Attendees included both masters and bachelors students of Frankfurt School.
Harald Edele, Director of Capital Markets and Regulation at the CFA Society Germany, delivered an insightful talk about the path to earning the CFA designation. Topics included the CFA exam, the preparation process and participation in the CFA challenge as a potential avenue to gaining practical experience. He also engaged students in a candid discussion about the benefits of earning the charter. In addition, he presented the results of a study reiterating the value of the CFA charter in Germany.
In attendance of Dr. Julia Knobbe, Program Director Degree Programmes & Executive Education at Frankfurt School, Master of Finance students Christina Bosse-Janzing and Samuel Kanyi shared their experiences, having sat the CFA exams and participated in the CFA challenge 2016/17. They highlighted the potential synergies of pursuing the CFA program in tandem with the Master of Finance degree.
Frankfurt School continues to forge alliances and partnerships with professional organisations, with a view to preparing students adequately for the job market.
