On Friday, September 1, 2017, 187 new students started their Bachelor of Arts in Finance & Management. In addition to the main campus, the work-accompanying programme of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management also takes place in Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. With more than 50 students the biggest study group is situated in Frankfurt. About half of the students, who usually have several years of professional experience, specialise in banking whereas the other half focuses on General Management. In choosing one of the two concentrations the students can set different priorities within the programme. The Bachelor students of the several study locations came together at the opening event and took the opportunity to get to know the new campus and to make new contacts beyond their own group.
Programme Director, Dr Veronika Kneip and Dr Meik Friedrich, Academic Director of the Bachelor of Arts, welcomed the new students in the morning and whished them a lot of success for the upcoming studies. Also, both emphasised that studying at Frankfurt School gives students a wide range of career opportunities. Following, Professor Dr Wolfgang Reittinger, Professor of Management Practice in Private Wealth Management at Frankfurt School, presented the mentoring programme, which is open to students of all student locations.
In the afternoon the different regional groups took part in several teambuilding events. This gave the students the opportunity, to get to know each other better thus laying the foundation for a successful and cooperative study time. In various exercises, they could also improve their cooperation-, organisation- and communication skills.
In the evening the students enjoyed the official opening ceremony of all Bachelor programmes.
