Frankfurt am Main, 28.08.2020 12:00:00

On Friday, 28 August 2020, MPs from Bündnis 90 / DIE GRÜNEN in the Hessian state parliament visited Frankfurt School. MPs Torsten Leveringhaus, Katrin Schleenbecker and Katy Walther were accompanied by regional staff.

After a short tour of the campus with stops at the AI Lab, the Steubing Learning Centre and a classroom equipped with the latest video-conferencing technology, the focus of the visit then moved to the sharing of digital teaching at Frankfurt School. Prof Nils Stieglitz, President of Frankfurt School, introduced FS and highlighted, among other things, how internationality, sustainability and diversity are lived at the Frankfurt School. He spoke about research centres and study programmes FS offers on sustainable and green finance. Barbara Willems, Teamlead Education Technology, then demonstrated an online lecture in which people in a seminar room at the Frankfurt School and online participants interacted. Inspired by this demonstration, the guests discussed in-depth digital infrastructures and data protection.

"We are pleased that we were able to discuss digital teaching with members of the Hessian State Parliament and show how Frankfurt School is planning the autumn semester – combining online and classroom teaching," said Prof Stieglitz.
