Master in Financial Management Learning Goals

LO 1.1: Students will build quantitative skills to process and use financial information as a basis for decisions.

LO 1.2: Students will have a deep understanding of current theories and concepts in the different areas of applied finance.

LO 2.1: Students will develop the ability to take a holistic approach to various sources of information.

LO 2.2: Students will learn to implement financial, statistical, and economic information in decision-making processes and responsibly evaluate possible financial outcomes.

LO 3.1: Students will be effective communicators and will present, discuss, and defend their findings in interdisciplinary fields of research and application.

LO 3.2: Group cooperation will be encouraged by developing team skills, critical thinking, self-reflection, and other soft skills. Students are knowledgeable of ethical and legal responsibilities and consequences arising from financial products and modelling.

LO 4.1: Students will be able to employ practical technical skills and develop proficiency in electronic business applications to find financial solutions and communicate them to clients and colleagues.

Personalise your studies

3 Day Model

The Master in Financial Management program offers a distinctive approach known as the "3 Day Model", allowing students to balance part-time work with full-time studies. From the outset, students engage in classes three days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays, providing ample opportunity for self-study, language courses, or part-time employment during the remaining weekdays. Additionally, some lectures or excursions are organised as blocked week events.

Entrepreneurship Centre

The Entrepreneurship Center aims to inspire, foster connections, and offer training opportunities to Frankfurt School students, along with external stakeholders like investors, alumni, founders, and partners. Options include participation in our Incubator for continuous support or accelerating projects through our Accelerator program. Additionally, students can opt for the Entrepreneurship elective in collaboration with TechQuartier during the fourth semester, enhancing their specialization with a double focus.

Electives

In the fourth semester, students have the opportunity to choose two elective courses, allowing them to enrich their master's program and delve into specialized areas of interest. From ESG Investing to AI, also Fintech IE Business School Module in Madrid, these electives align with students' professional aspirations and broaden their knowledge beyond the core curriculum.

  • First academic degree (Bachelor or Diploma) with at least 180 ECTS credits
  • Excellent written and spoken English (TOEFL - 90 iBT, IELTS 7.0 or equivalent)
  • Valid GMAT/GRE score* or BT Methods**
  • Successful admissions interview
