Curriculum (60 ECTS)

Time Schedule

The MBA is conveniently designed for the busy executive who wants to pursue general management studies while continuing in a full-time leadership role.

Physical attendance in-class is required on 12 extended weekends in Kinshasa (one Friday out of office per month) and two intensive weeks on the campus in Frankfurt.

Lecture times of the extended weekends in Kinshasa are:

Thursday:        6:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.
Friday:             9:00 a.m. - 5.30 p.m.
Saturday:         9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Learning Goals

The MBA programme has the following learning goals:

LG1: Integrative Knowledge of Functional Business Areas

Graduates will draw upon deep or expanded functional knowledge and broad, detailed and critical understanding of specifics, limitations and doctrines in Business Administration to shape responses and independent ideas to business and research opportunities and challenges.

LG2: Analytical and Critical Thinking

Graduates will base their decisions and strategies on critical and multidimensional analysis of different markets and various professional and scientific sources in a challenging international business environment. For that they will apply appropriate methods from relevant management disciplines.

LG3: Effective Communication

Graduates will be integrative communicators and will write, present, discuss and defend research-based findings in interdisciplinary fields of research and use. Graduates will contribute to team performance.

LG4: Responsible and Ethical Leadership

Graduates will be responsible managers of business organizations, based on analysis of the legal and ethical frameworks that are part of their professional lives and based on analysing and developing their competences and their personality.

L’experience Francfort

Your two-weeks stay in Frankfurt

Meet managers, academics and MBA students from Frankfurt, broaden your intercultural skills through local exposure, and benefit from the atmosphere of Frankfurt School’s world-class campus in Frankfurt. During your two weeks stay in Germany, you will not only partake in your elective course on a specific management topic that is of particular interest to you, but you will also learn about "Management Made in Germany" and get individual leadership coa­ching. Company visits, networking events with other MBA students and cultu­ral site visits will round up this unique international experience.

Application Process

1. Online Application

The first step of our application process is to complete the online application form. You will need to upload the following supporting documents: 

Required Documents:
  • Copy of your transcript of records and degree award certificate
  • CV or resume (in English)
  • Proof of English profiency if available (i.g. TOEFL iBT minimum 72 or IELTS minimum 6.5 score report)
  • Other documentation supporting professional experience or other extracurricular activities, if applicable
2. Assessment Centre: Admission Test, English Test and Interview

Successful applicants will be invited to an Assessment Centre consisting of an Admission Test and English Test, and an Interview. The paper-based tests will take place at UPC in Kinshasa. The interview will be held either over the phone or video call. The purpose of the interview is to gain a better understanding of your character, personality, expectations, motivations and goals.

English Waiver

To qualify for the programme applicants must be proficient in English (B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)). This criterion can be waived for the following reasons: native English speaker, having completed a previous degree in English, having lived and worked over one year in an English speaking country, working in a company where the corporate language is English or can otherwise prove the English proficiency (TOEFL iBT minimum 72 or IELTS minimum 6.5 score report).

3. Results

The final decision regarding your MBA admission will be based on a combination of English language abilities, admission test results, and interview performance.

4. Programme Start

The MBA for Executives programme starts in January 2021.


Frankfurt School cooperates closely with the Uni­versité Protestante au Congo (UPC) in Kinshasa. Frankfurt School has been working with UPC for over a decade in various programmes and projects in DRC. In February 2018, Frankfurt School started the MBA for Executives in Kinshasa. The program­me is offered with the support of UPC. Faculty in the programme comes from both institutions, though more than 80 % of the Professors have an inter­national background. Classes in Kinshasa take place either at the campus of UPC or in the Pullman Hotel, both centrally loca­ted in DRCs capital.
