Inclusive Finance Summer Academy


MFIs that grow fast or operate in a competitive environment often find it difficult to recruit the right people, get consistently high employee performance, retain good employees, and fill management vacancies. In this Track we will provide solutions to these challenges and practice hands-on some of the key HR skills for MFI managers on all levels.

Target Group

MFI managers on all levels (branch level, mid-level and top management) as well as trainers and consultants who work with MFIs on HR related topics.

Administrative Details

The tuition fee for the trainings is EUR 4,300 and it covers all training materials and full-board accommodation in single rooms for the duration of training including meals as well as transportation for site visits.

The Summer Academies are fully tuition based and not sponsored. Accordingly, participants have to cover the full costs of the training or find a sponsor.

The Summer Academy will be held at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Being one of the leading business schools in Germany and Europe, Frankfurt School offers modern facilities for an interactive senior training program. Our training rooms are equipped with the newest technology and the newest media to provide flexibility and quality in our training courses. We have a strong focus on the wellbeing of our guests and course participants, a good training environment, air quality and modern equipment.


The language of instruction will be English and no translation will be provided.

Scholarships for the Summer Academy

Frankfurt School International Advisory Services provides funding for partial scholarships covering maximum 30% of the course fees for applicants meeting the eligibility requirements. Scholarship applicant should submit the duly completed scholarship application form (the form is attached) to summeracademy@fs.de after completing the online registration via website.

Course Lecturer

Dr. Joachim Bald

is Frankfurt School’s most senior international advisor and a recognised expert in Treasury and Risk Management for banking and microfinance. He serves as lead consultant and trainer at the Frankfurt School Competence Center in Risk Management and regularly manages complex implementation assignments in Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa.
