EBRD is launching a response program for the Syrian refugee population in southeastern Turkey with the aim of ensuring refugee women’s access to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. Within this scope, Frankfurt School will conduct a baseline study in the refugee-affected areas of Turkey, and develop an Action Plan for the EBRD in order to enable the Bank to provide effective solutions with regard to refugee women’s access to employment, livelihoods and economic empowerment and inclusion. The study will also seek for opportunities to adapting the existing Turkey Women in Business Programme so as to address the needs of the female refugees who aim to start their own businesses or involve in the labour force.
