Assistant Professor of Marketing

Aylin Cakanlar is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Before joining the Frankfurt School in September 2024, she was an assistant professor at the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden. Aylin received her PhD from Stockholm University, and she also spent time at the University of British Columbia and Boston College during her PhD studies.

Aylin Cakanlar’s research focuses on understanding how social context and different types of consumer identities influence engagement in sustainable behavior. She primarily uses experiments to study consumer behavior. Her work has been published in leading academic journals such as Journal of Marketing Research and Journal of Consumer Psychology.
