Katia Goertz

Ms. Katia Görtz combines hands-on, profound agrilending expertise with excellent training and coaching skills. She has extensive experience in financial sector development worldwide. Since 2008 she has been working as project manager for Frankfurt School. Besides her responsibility for backstopping and controlling of current projects with a focus on agricultural lending programmes she has also done numerous short term assignments in the area of rural development. While working as an Agricultural Lending Expert in the Tajik Agricultural Finance Framework she provided support in designing a range of loan products (individual as well as group lending and value chain finance). She furthermore designed and implemented efficient and sustainable agricultural lending policies and procedures. Coaching of bank staff as well as farmers is an integral part of the project. For rural Savings and Credit Associations in Moldova Ms. Goertz has developed a loan analysis tool for analyzing clients working in primary agriculture and trained the Association’s staff in the use of the tool. Ms. Goertz was also involved in a rural sector study in Albania.
