Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations
Halil Sabanci is an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. His research centers around strategic human capital, organization theory, and economic sociology. His current research projects focus on the sociology of labor markets, with particular emphasis on career mobility and inequality, as well as the interactions among organizations, workers, and social structures, including social networks and status hierarchies. His work has been published or is forthcoming in top-tier academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, American Journal of Sociology, Nature Human Behaviour, and Organization Studies.
Professor Sabanci earned his PhD from IESE Business School with a summa cum laude distinction. He also holds a Master of Research degree in Management from IESE Business School and a BA in Management from Bogazici University. He has also held visiting appointments at the London Business School and MIT Sloan. Before joining academia, he worked in the industry at S&P 500 companies as a commercial specialist and a management consultant, as well as founding entrepreneurial ventures in the telecommunications industry.
