Jie Cui is a doctoral candidate in the Accounting Department at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Prior to joining the programme, he obtained MSc. in Finance degree from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and MSc. in Operations and Supply Chain Management degree from University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He had previously founded a niche start-up in the tourism industry and also gained experience as a project manager in a medium-sized PE firm in China. His research interests are mainly focused on firm-level economics and finance, corporate governance and performance measurement in SMEs. He is particularly interested in conducting firm-level empirical analyses by applying various data analytics tools and computational linguistic algorithms.
