Senior Project Manager
Ms. Laura Druce has a strong background in international relations, climate change mitigation and adaptation. She holds an MSc in Security Studies from University College London and a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from Lancaster University.
Prior to her work at International Advisory Services, Ms. Druce worked as a corporate tax advisor in London. She has worked for UNEP Finance Initiative, organising the Pan-African Carbon Bankers Forum in Johannesburg and co-authoring a study on carbon markets and the flexible mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol in sub-Saharan Africa. She developed sound knowledge in climate adaptation working at Acclimatise, a leading climate adaptation consultancy, conducting research to develop the sustainable ecosystems and adaptation workstream. Her master thesis focused on private sector motivations in climate mitigation and adaptation investments.
Ms. Druce is now involved in various projects with the Frankfurt School–UNEP Collaborating Centre, including the National Climate Finance Institutions Support Programme (NCFISP) and the Microfinance for Ecosystem-based Adaptation to Climate Change project (MEbA).
