Sophie-Dorothee Rotermund is a PhD student in Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since September 2020. She completed an ERASMUS Mundus double degree Masters program, Economic Policies in the Age of Globalisation (EPOG), at the Université Paris VII and XIII, and the Berlin School of Economics and Law and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Heidelberg. During her undergraduate studies she also studied at Laurentian University, Canada.
Prior to joining the Frankfurt School, Sophie-Dorothee worked in the Market Operations Analysis Division of the European Central Bank. She gained further work experience in different policy and research facilities, such as the Association of German Banks, whilst completing her degrees and worked as a research assistant at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, mainly focusing on growth and related macroeconomic questions.
Sophie-Dorothee’s primary research interests lie in banking and financial intermediation with a particular interest in financial networks and regulation.
