Target group
Professionals working in credit institutions and other companies in the financial sector who want to develop their professional and personal skills for diverse and interesting tasks in all areas of banking or in the financial sector of other industries.
Study Format
The program can be started at one of our more than 15 study locations, with on-site lectures usually taking place on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Alternatively, you can choose the @Home option with virtual courses. These are usually offered on a weekday evening—Mondays or Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to approximately 9:15 p.m.—and on half of a Saturday.

Attractive progression options
With your qualification as a Specialist in Digitalisation, you have the opportunity to apply for our part-time Bachelor of Arts (lateral entry) programme. If you meet all the admission requirements and successfully complete the selection process, you can obtain an academic degree in a reduced period of time. Alternatively, you may also choose to enter directly into our Business Economist programme.

Admission Requirements
Admission requires completed training as a banker or another commercial qualification with at least one year of banking experience in a credit institution. Alternatively, four years of relevant professional experience in the banking sector are accepted.
- Completed vocational training as a bank clerk or
- commercial vocational training with at least one year of professional experience in a credit institution or
- at least four years of professional experience in the banking industry
- other qualifications after individual review.

Curriculum
Our curriculum provides banking-specific and economic expertise taught by experienced lecturers. Modules span four semesters: 1st – General Banking, Business Administration I, Law I, Economics I; 2nd – General Banking, Business Administration II, Law II, Economics II; 3rd – General Banking, Business Administration III, Law III, Economics III, elective; 4th – General Banking, Business Administration IV, Law IV, Economics IV, elective.

Project license Banking IT: Banks undergoing technological change
- Three courses (evenings during the week) and a workshop from Thursday to Saturday on our campus in Frankfurt.
- Topics: Digital skills, digitization projects, project management expertise, and understanding of key IT/AI topics.
- Workshop can be attended during the second or third semester.
- Cost: €490 (plus travel and accommodation costs, if applicable).
- Participants receive an additional certificate: 'Project Management License Banking IT'

Funding and financing
- Employer support: Many employers contribute to further training in banking, either through financial subsidies or by granting study leave/extra vacation days. Ask your HR department about options.
- State subsidy: The state provides a generous contribution to training costs, so ideally you pay less than €500.
- Upgrading BAföG: All important information regarding your BAföG application will be provided. You will receive the necessary documents from us with start of your studies.
