ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To apply for the Bachelor in Betriebswirtschaftslehre (B.A.), you need to meet the following requirements:
- Higher education entrance qualification, for example, Abitur or Fachabitur
- or secondary school diploma (Mittlerer Schulabschluss) and a recognized commercial vocational training program of at least three years’ duration (completed after January 1, 2011) with an average grade of at least 2.5 in the Chamber of IHK examination
- or recognized commercial vocational training and successful completion of the university entrance examination (written and oral)
- Are engaged in concurrent professional employment (e.g. apprenticeship, student employment, or a part-time/full-time position of at least 20 hours per week).
- Successful completion of our online assessment centre, including a maths test, cognitive assessments, an English test, and an interview.
Curriculum
Compulsory Modules:
During the first four semesters, you will build the business and economics foundation of your studies.
Concentration Modules:
At the end of the fourth semester, you will choose one concentration: Finance & Investments, Marketing Management, Digital Business Management, or Controlling & Performance Management.
Certificates:
After the fourth semester, you will obtain the qualification Certified Specialist in Finance & Management (FS).
Thesis:
To complete your studies, you will write your bachelor’s thesis on a topic of your choice.
*In the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters, a block week takes place at our Frankfurt campus.
**In the 8th semester, you will participate in a block week abroad – alternatively, you may choose to complete a full semester abroad.
ASSESSMENT CENTRE
Once you made sure that you fulfil the requirements for the Bachelor in Betriebswirtschaftslehre and took a look at our application checklist, you can start your online application via our online application form.
You will need to upload the following supporting documents:
- Recognised secondary school diploma (Abitur, Fachabitur, etc.)
- An optional letter of motivation (maximum 500 words)
- CV (resume)
- A copy of your passport or ID card
- Other documents, if applicable (references/letter of recommendation, extracurricular activities, certificates, awards, etc.
At Frankfurt School, there is no numerus clausus (NC). Successful applicants will be invited to an Online Assessment Centre (AC).

The online Assessment Center consists of four parts:
- Mathematics test
- Cognitive test
- English test
- Structured interview

In addition to your test results, your motivation and commitment also play an important role in the admission decision. All Assessment Center sessions take place online. Please note that your application must be submitted at least two weeks before your preferred date.

LEARNING GOALS
Graduates will have a broad knowledge and a critical understanding of the key theories, principles and methods in Business Administration. They will be able to reflect and classify professional and scientific statements.

Graduates will derive research objectives, apply research methods, describe results and explain outcomes.

Graduates will understand the nature and significance of their ethical and professional responsibilities as well as the general principles of sustainability. Yes. Since our Bachelor in Betriebswirtschaftslehre is designed as a part-time programme, you are required to work at least 20 hours per week in a relevant position during your studies (e.g. internship, student employment, full-time or part-time role in a commercial field). Employment must be verified through an employment contract or reference letter. Employers may be changed during the course of study, as long as there are no significant gaps in employment.
