Professor of Practice in Financial Infrastructure

General Responsibilities 

We are looking for outstanding candidates in the Professor of Practice Track at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. The position comes with the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct applied research in the area of financial infrastructure, financial technology and payment systems; 
  • Create synergies with faculty across Frankfurt School, in particular with the Finance and Economics Departments as well as with the Centre for Central Banking and the Centre for Digital Economics;
  • Deliver courses in financial technology, payment systems, monetary policy implementation and adjacent areas across degree, professional, and executive programmes;
  • Develop and nurture strong industry and corporate connections, including with policy makers;

Essential Role Responsibilities

  • Significant industry experience in the area of financial infrastructure;
  • Proven track record of industry-relevant research;
  • Sound understanding of the financial services industry and central banking;
  • A well-established national and international network;
  • German language skills are an asset;

The position will be affiliated with the Finance or the Economics Department and is expected to work closely with the Centre for Central Banking and the Centre for Digital Economics.
