Memorial service for Philipp Sandner.

Professor Dr. Philipp Sandner passed away unexpectedly on 16 January 2024. We miss him greatly. He held a professorship in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Frankfurt School and was the founder and head of our Blockchain Center.

On Monday, 3 June 2024, we would like to commemorate Philipp Sandner. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Audimax at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

Professor Dr. Nils Stieglitz, President of Frankfurt School, will open the ceremony and reflect on Philipp Sandner’s lasting contributions to our Frankfurt School and to academia. Federal Minister of Education and Research Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Member of the German Bundestag, as well as Burkhard Balz, Member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank, will also pay tribute to Philipp Sandner and his work. Frankfurt School alumnus Philipp Schulden, founder of the robo-advisor Rudy, who worked closely with Philipp Sandner in establishing the Blockchain Center, will also speak.
