In January 2027, Frankfurt School hosts its first-ever Winter School, The German Winter Summit 2027. During the two-week programme, students will stay in three of Germany's most important and interesting cities. The first week will start in the country’s bustling harbour city, Hamburg, and over the weekend, participants will visit Berlin, Germany’s vibrant capital. The final week takes place in Frankfurt, Europe’s financial hub and home to Frankfurt School.

With students coming from all around the globe, participants will benefit from networking events and lectures by industry experts. The purpose of the German Winter Summit is to enhance the general and practical knowledge of Bachelor's and Master's students who seek hands-on experience and new perspectives.

Target Group

Our Winter School is tailored for ambitious learners at key transition points in their academic journey. It welcomes undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines who wish to deepen their expertise in blockchain, finance, leadership, management, and up-to-date topics, as well as recent high school graduates (at least 18 years of age) exploring bachelor-level studies in a global context. The programme is equally well-suited for international participants eager to experience life at a top German business school while building valuable professional connections.
 

Study Model

The two-week programme adopts an intensive study model comprising 80 hours of contact learning, 40 hours of independent study, and 5 hours dedicated to assessment activities. 

Contact hours include lectures, seminars, workshops, company visits, and a structured excursion designed to contextualise theoretical concepts within real-world environments.

FAQ ABOUT WINTER SCHOOL: THE GERMAN WINTER SUMMIT

The programme is open to both German and international students who are undergraduate or master’s students from all disciplines wishing to deepen their expertise in blockchain, finance, leadership, and management. Recent high school graduates exploring bachelor-level studies in an international context are also welcome. The programme is equally suited for international participants seeking to experience life at a top German business school while building valuable professional connections.

The Winter Summit is a two-week programme delivered across three German cities:
• Week 1 - Hamburg: lectures (e.g., Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, Strategy, Leadership), company visits, and case studies.
• Weekend - Berlin: cultural visits, guided tours, and exploration of the city’s historical highlights.
• Week 2 - Frankfurt: lectures in Business Analytics and Marketing, plus company visits.
 

Participants receive a Certificate of Participation including 5 ECTS credits and an overall grade (out of 100). Grading is based on coursework such as group presentations, short tests, and class participation.

Yes. Accommodation is included for the full two weeks. Participants stay in twin rooms (shared double rooms) at arranged hotels in Hamburg, Berlin, and Frankfurt.
