FAQ ABOUT MASTER OF LEADERSHIP IN SUSTAINABLE FINANCE
We recommend applying as early as possible, and no later than 31 July, especially if you are also applying for a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
The MLSF scholarship programme focusses on the financial need of the student as it is meant to enable students that otherwise cannot afford their participation to join the programme. Further the future impact and performance during the application process is evaluated. A regional focus is on low-income countries.
Within your application for the master programme, you will be asked if you want to apply for the scholarship. If you choose “yes”, you will need to provide two more things:
- A statement of why we should grant you the scholarship. This statement could be a short video (2 minutes max), a short essay, or some slides in Power Point.
- Your last 3 months salary slip.
We also need to know how you will cover the rest of the tuition as the scholarship offered is only a 30% max of the initial tuition fee.
Applicants applying for the scholarship will first have to run the admission process. That means submit a complete application and join the admission interview. Once they are admitted we will hand over the application to the scholarship committee which will then take the decision if a scholarship is granted and over which amount. We will inform you accordingly via email and prepare the admission documents.
We understand the challenge of balancing studies, work, and other responsibilities, so our programme is designed with flexibility in mind.
While the standard duration of the programme is 24 months, you can extend your studies, subject to an extension fee, for up to 48 months to better accommodate your personal and professional commitments.
If you need to adjust your schedule, your study advisor will support you in designing a new study plan that suits your needs.
Yes, there are a few live sessions such as welcome sessions, group projects or exam preparation sessions. However, most sessions are recoded, allowing you to watch them at your convenience. Nevertheless, we encourage you to join the live sessions to connect with your peers and lecturers.
While you can complete the programme following your own schedule, you will have a few deadline to follow such as deadlines for assignments and final exam dates.
