Norah Licet Becerra Farfan

Ms. Norah Becerra is heading the Sustainable Rural Finance competence centre for which she manages projects worldwide. On a more regional level she is responsible for all IAS projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Before joining Frankfurt School in 2007, Ms Becerra worked 15 years as an international consultant in microfinance and SME finance, building a strong background in Latin America, Africa, Asia and East Europe. During that time she worked for different bilateral and multilateral organizations such as KfW, GIZ, WB, Iadb, EBRD and the EU. Among others, she worked in the creation and launching of MFIs, up-grading and downscaling projects, business and strategic plans for MFIs, market studies and product development. She has excellent training abilities and is an expert in the development of lending technologies, products and concepts to increase the access to finance for small farmers.
