Frankfurt School of Finance & Management gGmbH is committed to making its digital offerings accessible in accordance with the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz – BFSG) and the Ordinance to the Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetzverordnung – BFSGV). Our aim is to provide all users with the fullest possible access to our information and digital services.
Scope
This statement applies to the website www.frankfurt-school.de, including its associated subdomains, insofar as they are operated by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and provide digital services within the meaning of the BFSG[VH1.1][JL1.2].
Where individual digital services or application portals are operated by external service providers, the respective accessibility statements of the responsible providers apply.
General Description of Our Services
Frankfurt School provides information on its website about its Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, doctoral, Executive Education and Professional Education programmes. It also provides information on research, events, career opportunities, international partnerships and other university activities.
Through the website, interested parties can, among other things:
- access information about degree programmes and continuing education opportunities;
- request information materials;
- contact Frankfurt School;
- register for events;
- arrange consultation appointments;
- initiate application and registration processes for degree programmes and continuing education programmes; and
- obtain information about the faculty’s research and publications.
Description of the Accessibility Requirements and Their Implementation
The accessibility requirements arise from Section 3 BFSG in conjunction with the BFSGV, which was issued on the basis of Section 3(2) BFSG. The specific requirements for accessible electronic commerce services are set out in Sections 12, 13 and 19 BFSGV. Technical implementation is guided by the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA.
When designing, developing and continuously improving our website, we take into account the fundamental principles of digital accessibility: perceivability, operability, understandability and robustness.
Measures already implemented or subject to ongoing improvement include, in particular[VH2.1]:
- a clear and consistent page structure and comprehensible navigation;
- semantically structured content to support assistive technologies;
- clearly labelled headings, links, buttons and form fields;
- alternative text for informative images;
- optimisation of keyboard accessibility for interactive elements;
- continuous improvement of colour contrast and readability;
- consideration of responsive layouts and zoom functionality;
- ongoing optimisation of technical components as part of regular system and design updates; and
- raising awareness among editorial teams regarding accessible content and documents.
Accessibility Status
Frankfurt School is continuously working to further improve the accessibility of its digital offerings.
Despite extensive measures, some content may not yet be fully accessible. This applies in particular to[VH3.1]:
- older PDF documents and brochures;
- certain older video and multimedia content;
- certain functions or content provided by external third parties, over whose technical implementation we have only limited control; and
- certain forms or interactive applications that are being improved gradually as part of ongoing technical development.
Wherever possible, new content and functions are developed and published in accordance with the applicable accessibility requirements.

It is reviewed regularly and updated whenever technical or content-related changes are made.
