International Leadership Academy

Day 1 – Intercultural Communications and Negotiations
Explore how culture influences communication, including your body language, and recognise key differences that affect interactions and learn strategies to manage these differences effectively. When negotiating identify positional and collaborative bargaining approaches, understand limiting and enabling assumptions, and apply the rules of negotiation through practical role-play exercises.

Day 2 – Transformational Leadership, Employee Engagement & Performance Management
Develop an understanding of transformational leadership, its evolution, and the key characteristics that define effective leaders. Evaluate your own leadership style, take part in group exercises on leading transformational change, and explore ways to increase your impact. Learn how to assess employee engagement, motivate teams, and improve performance through coaching and active listening techniques.

Day 3 – Building & Empowering Teams and Conflict Management
Understand the importance of team spirit and how it influences team performance, collaboration, and workplace relationships. Take part in interactive exercises designed to test natural abilities in team situations, followed by reflection and group discussions. Learn the dynamics of conflict and the importance of fairness in managing challenging situations effectively. Explore the seven types of difficult personalities, understand how their behaviours can impact teams and take part in role-play exercises to practise practical techniques for responding confidently and resolving conflict constructively.

Day 4 – Individual Leadership Challenges – Peer Coaching
You will have the opportunity to discuss your individual leadership challenges with your peers in groups of 5-6 people. We will run several rounds to ensure everyone will have the opportunity to present his/her challenge and the way he/she tried to master it. Peers will discuss how they could coach each other to approach your challenges differently. Group sharing and discussion around challenges and proposed solutions.
 
Day 5 – Electives: Lead Your Organisation or Presentation Skills
Lead your organization: Participants will reflect on their organizational leadership roles within a strategic leadership framework. They will understand purpose, vision and stakeholder value creation as key business drivers. And learn how to use culture, values and behavior for performance and transition.
Presentation skills: Learn how to structure and develop effective presentations while understanding the power of communication and audience engagement. Deliver short five-minute presentations to the group and receive constructive feedback to build confidence, improve delivery skills, and strengthen your overall impact. A highly practical and impactful session with valuable takeaways for future presentations.

The International Leadership Academy is designed for senior managers in banks and corporates who want to enhance their leadership skills to inspire and motivate their teams and business partners.
 

The International Leadership Academy is designed as a hands-on training course where course participants will learn the essentials of leadership and what defines a leader. Participants will understand the complexity of leadership by using the Complex Leadership Model (CLM). They will also analyse their own leadership style and identify key success factors by using the Complex Leadership Assessment Tool (CLA). After attending this seminar, participants will understand processes of team development and can identify factors to build effective teams. Moreover, participants understand different change processes in organisations  and the role of organisational culture while implementing change. They will also enhance their intercultural negotiations skills as well as their strategic and global leadership thinking. Gaining insights on best practice examples from the German industry, participants will get a deep understanding on how to build successful leaders.

Lecture, discussion, individual and group exercises, case studies
