CENTRAL BANKING TRACK

This track focuses on Financial Inclusion and Financial Education policies and regulations, with a dedicated emphasis on Digital Financial Literacy. Designed for mid- and senior-level professionals from central banks, supervisory authorities, finance ministries, and international organisations, the track addresses the growing role of central banks and regulators in promoting inclusive and financially resilient societies.

The Central Banking Track is co-hosted by Frankfurt School’s Centre for Central Banking and the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI). The Centre for Central Banking contributes academic excellence and deep expertise in monetary policy, financial stability, and central banking practice, while AFI brings a strong global policy perspective and hands-on experience from its network of central banks and financial regulators worldwide. Together, they offer a balanced combination of research-driven insights and practical policy approaches.

You will explore policy frameworks, regulatory approaches, and implementation challenges related to financial inclusion, financial education, and digital financial literacy. The programme combines expert-led sessions, peer exchange, and applied discussions, and envisages site visits to two leading central banking institutions in Frankfurt: the Deutsche Bundesbank and the European Central Bank.
