Co-Pierre Georg ist Professor of Practice in Digital Finance and Technology an der Frankfurt School of Finance & Management und Direktor des Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. Er forscht im Bereich der Finanztechnologie. Seine Forschung wurde in führenden internationalen Fachzeitschriften wie dem Journal of Economic Theory, Research Policy, Operations Research und Nature Physics veröffentlicht. Er promovierte in Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena und absolvierte seinen Master am Karlsruhe Institut of Technology. Zuvor war Co-Pierre Georg als Professor an der Universitaet Kapstadt tätig, wo er den NRF/DSI Dual Research Chair in Blockchain Technology innehatte. Er war ausserdem Oekonom am Forschungszentrum der Deutschen Bundesbank und ist Research Associate am Center for Global Legal Transformation an der Columbia University und der Oxford Martin School for the 21st Century.
