NDCs as part of the transition
This unit explores the critical role of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in driving the global transition towards sustainable economies, examining their evolution, key stakeholders, and latest developments, while emphasizing the NDC cycle and the Global Stocktake's role in achieving the Paris Agreement goals.
Analysis of NDCs
Unit 3 provides an in-depth analysis of NDC strategies, targets, and implementation, comparing the ambition levels and sectoral focuses across different countries, while examining the challenges and gaps in achieving the 1.5-degree target and evaluating the progress made so far.
Country-Level NDC Implementation
The objective of this module is on country-level NDC implementation, exploring various policies, strategies, and the roles of different actors while identifying the challenges and barriers faced in achieving NDC goals, with an emphasis on country-specific approaches and the groundwork for financing NDC implementation.
Roadmap for Mobilizing and Managing NDC Finance
while highlighting the importance of setting up and managing Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems to track progress, address data gaps, ensure compliance with NDC targets, and continuously update and improve NDC strategies and financial flows.
