Since 2015, a mandatory gender quota of at least 30 percent for new appointments to supervisory boards has applied to listed companies and companies subject to full co-determination. The law is showing results: in 2024, at 37.3 percent, more women than ever before hold a supervisory board mandate. Nevertheless, the path to parity is still long.
