From 2026/27: The Yeni Nesil Scholarship

Donors welcome!
Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has launched a new scholarship programme for young women of Turkish heritage who wish to complete a Master’s degree at the business school: the Yeni Nesil Scholarship. Yeni Nesil means “the next generation” in Turkish.
The idea came from long-standing member of Frankfurt School’s Advisory Board Engin Göksu: “The scholarship is designed to encourage talented young women from the Turkish community to study at this renowned business school and take charge of their careers. Frankfurt School is an excellent place to do so.”
Angelika Werner, Vice President Strategic Relations at Frankfurt School, adds: “With great energy and personal commitment, Engin Göksu has established this new scholarship and secured the first donors. I would like to thank him warmly for this. Our scholarship recipients will surely become role models for other young women.”
Background
According to the German Federal Agency for Civic Education, around 25 million people in Germany have a migration background. Of these, the Turkish community is the largest group, numbering around 2.9 million people. Many are now living in Germany in the fourth generation. Yet only around ten per cent of them have completed a university degree – significantly below the average of 26 per cent for the overall population (all figures refer to 2024).
Donors welcome
With the Yeni Nesil Scholarship, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and its donors and friends aim to send a clear signal and make it easier for female Bachelor’s graduates of Turkish heritage to pursue a Master’s degree with scholarship support. Frankfurt School invites friends and companions of the institution to support the Yeni Nesil Scholarship by making a donation. Key details include:
- Donors are asked to give at least EUR 500 per year for three years to help establish the Yeni Nesil Scholarship. Donations are tax-deductible; Frankfurt School will issue the relevant certificates.
- Frankfurt School will match every donation from its own funds.
- Donors will be recognised with a plaque on the Donor Wall in the foyer of Frankfurt School and invited to attractive and inspiring networking events such as the Donors’ & Friends’ Circle.
- At the scholarship award ceremony, donors and scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to meet in person.
