Networking Event for Klaus-Peter Müller Scholarship Holders

On May 26th, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management hosted a networking event for Professor. Dr. h. c Klaus-Peter Müller and his current and former scholarship holders. Frankfurt School aims to strengthen the connections among the scholarship holders and give them the opportunity to personally talk to their benefactor. It was a summer evening full of heartfelt and inspiring conversations.

The Klaus-Peter-Müller Scholarship Funds 

For decades, Professor Dr. h. c Klaus-Peter Müller, Honorary Chairman of the Frankfurt School Board of Trustees and Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Commerzbank AG, has been at the forefront of Frankfurt School’s development. The special significance he holds for philanthropic commitment, particularly in education and research, led him to establish the Klaus-Peter Müller Scholarship Fund with a generous donation of one million euros from personal funds. As of today, 68 scholarships have been awarded to Master's and MBA students who are socially engaged and have excellent academic achievements. The generous gift demonstrates the trust that Klaus-Peter Müller has in Frankfurt School, its excellence in teaching, and its students. 

Angelika Werner, Vice President of Strategic Relations at Frankfurt School, opened the evening by thanking Klaus-Peter Müller for his substantial support. She also encouraged the guests to follow his example, get involved with and to give back to Frankfurt School.

In his keynote speech, Klaus-Peter Müller asked everyone to consider volunteering whether in sports, political parties, or neighborhood initiatives. In his mind, volunteering is key to supporting and fostering civil society. He also stressed the importance of networks and encouraged his scholarship holders to nurture these and generate added value for everyone.

For the scholarship holders, the stipend is and remains, a significant gift - one that made their studies at Frankfurt School possible. In their conversations, they emphasized their sense of personal connection to Klaus-Peter Müller.

Frankfurt School plans to host an annual get-together for this group of students and alumni with Klaus-Peter Müller. Also, a dedicated Linkedln group will be created to allow everyone to stay in touch.
